Dr. Ray Kurzweil, age 67, is Google’s Chief Engineer. He is on Google’s cutting edge Calico project, which hopes to slow the process of aging.
Dr. Kurzweil is convinced that we can live virtually forever with the right combination of genetic engineering and diet. The genetic engineering needed is a few years away, according to Kurzweil, but there are changes you can make right now that will extend your life. Among those changes: A diet that emphasizes nutrition, healthy carbs, and alkaline water.
Dr. Kurzweil’s immortality breakfast
Dr. Kurzweil starts his day with a breakfast that is especially rich in antioxidant foods:
-
- berries
-
- dark chocolate infused with espresso
-
- smoked salmon and mackerel
-
- vanilla soy milk
-
- stevia
-
- porridge
- green tea
No information is available on what Dr. Kurzweil has for lunch and dinner, but he offers these guidelines to follow when selecting foods: Choose antioxidant anti-inflammatory foods, such as cocoa, turmeric, berries, and green tea. Eat healthy carbs, some examples are: Berries, vegetables, and oatmeal. Choose healthy proteins and fats such as fish and nuts. Dr. Kurzweil avoids meats, unhealthy fats, sugar, and all processed foods.
He also takes “a few thousand dollars worth” of nutritional supplements per year for eye health, brain health, heart health, and sexual health. His morning pills include:
-
- Coenzyme Q10
-
- Lutein and bilberry extract
-
- Glutathione IV
-
- Vinpocetine
- Pyridoxal 5-phosphate
How alkaline water enhances Dr. Kurzweil’s immortality diet
Alkaline water enhances the age-fighting antioxidants in Dr. Kurzweil’s diet, and it detoxifies the fruits and vegetables in it. Alkaline water can as much as triple the antioxidant benefit of green tea, and it detoxifies fruit and vegetables of acidic pesticide residues.
While you should not take medicine with alkaline water, you should take your nutritional supplements with it. Alkaline water speeds absorption of nutrients into your system, so you get more benefit out of the supplements you take.
Ray Kurzweil gets his alkaline water from a water ionizer: Why you should too
Age-fighting antioxidant potential. Water ionizers put more of it in every glass of alkaline water than any other method for making alkaline water. A powerful ionizer such as the Life M-13 can put well over -800 mV Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) into a glass of alkaline water. The highest ORP you can get from any other method of making alkaline water is about -200 ORP. The higher that negative ORP number, the more antioxidant potential the alkaline water has. So if you are serious about life extension, only the most powerful ionizer will do.
Why the most important benefit of alkaline water is its antioxidant potential
According to Dr. Kurzweil: “ There are more benefits to ‘alkaline water’ than simply the alkalinity or pH. The most important feature of alkaline water produced by a water alkalizer is its oxidation reduction potential (ORP)” The antioxidant potential is the key benefit of alkaline water – you don’t get it by mixing baking soda in water, by hydrogen sticks, or other gimmicks.
Why it’s important Negatively charged antioxidant alkaline water is called a reducing agent by scientists. What it reduces is the potential for oxidation in the body. Excessive oxidation in the body is strongly linked to premature aging and the development of degenerative diseases. The more you can reduce that oxidation in your body, the better it is for your health.
The key anti-aging ingredient in alkaline water is the antioxidant hydroxyl ion. A water ionizer changes the composition of tap water from bicarbonate-rich water, which doesn’t have antioxidant potential, to hydroxyl-rich alkaline water, which is loaded with antioxidant potential. The process used by a water ionizer, called electrodialysis, is the only means available for creating massively high antioxidant potential. This is why Ray Kurzweil uses a water ionizer to make his alkaline water, and why you should too.
