Description

Hard water is characterized by the presence of dissolved minerals such as Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe). The process of eliminating these minerals involves water softening, which relies on an ion exchange procedure utilizing a water softener. When water passes through the mineral tank of the water softener, the dissolved minerals adhere to the resin, resulting in the production of soft water. As time passes, the resin in the water softener will eventually become depleted, and the water softener will undergo regeneration, utilizing a brine solution derived from the salt stored in the brine tank.
